The Greensand Trust is an independent environmental charity that works with local communities and landowners to conserve and promote the distinctive landscape, wildlife and history of the Greensand Ridge and the wider surrounding area.

Aims and Objectives

Preserving and keeping Knolls Wood open for people to enjoy and as a habitat for wildlife, and use our educational and conservation platform to protect against the loss of nature locally and more widely.

Management Plans

These days the Council’s Management Plan for the Wood sets the tone for why and how Knolls Wood will be managed over five-year periods. The Committee contributes to it to set objectives and monitor achievements; and each year, AGM to AGM, establishes its own plan with members’ approval at those meetings.

Newsletters

Newsletters used to be printed and delivered across the neighbourhood, until 2019. With an improved content and increased frequency, they are instead made available on the website and on noticeboards in Knolls Wood and promoted on other social media platforms.
